Who is eagles new head coach
I reached out to Chris Blystone of Stampede Blue and he was courteous enough to answer my questions about the former Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator. The Colts offensive coaching staff are very collaborative, character-driven, and put emphasis on analytics in their play calling.
I expect to see Sirianni carry that to the Eagles and implement a similar style as a head coach. Sirianni is a high floor option as a head coach. He is a leader, a well-respected person, and a creative mind. While he may not have been making game day calls, Sirianni was certainly heavily involved in the game planning. He has acted as a sounding board for Reich and the guy who has been closest to Reich in his time in Indy.
Additionally, Reich, Sirianni, and former QB coach Marcus Brady who is now the Colts offensive coordinator would sit in on weekly protection meetings and were deeply involved in planning the pass protections for the week. This included the quarterbacks, running backs, and the offensive line all meeting together, and that process is likely one that Sirianni will continue, and is a large part of why the Colts have been so good in pass protection over the past 3 seasons.
The notable areas of excellence in the Colts offense in the time Sirianni has been there, have been in terms of winning matchups with good route combinations and scheme rather than relying on skill players. Tight ends and running backs have played a huge part of the Colts passing attack, and likely will for any offense Sirianni is running.
As I mentioned before, Sirianni will likely be a major asset in pass protection. It's been a lot of fun, really a lot of energy. Moving forward, we have a lot to prove. The Eagles will have to translate whatever they're doing this offseason onto the field during the regular season, and with a less talented roster than they have had in some previous seasons.
In the NFC East, though, it's possible that being merely average on each side of the ball can make you one of the best teams in the division. By Jared Dubin. Jul 11, at am ET 1 min read.

There also was an intriguing in-house candidate in Duce Staley. But there was a reason the Eagles did not want to be attached to Pederson connections and tap more into what they lost with Reich offensively since he separated from Pederson. Reich has quickly proven his worth as the Colts coach with two playoff trips in three years when his QB play has been solid, first with Andrew Luck and then with Philip Rivers.
Sirianni worked as Reich's right-hand man with the Colts after the pair built a strong connection while on the Chargers' staff together. He is a bright, organized mind ideal to fix the Eagles' offense, using a more balanced and diverse approach.
The Eagles, like the Colts in , were reportedly closing in on Josh McDaniels, the Patriots' offensive coordinator, but did a wise pivot to Reich's staff in the end. It's hard to ignore how Reich has been so much better than McDaniels would have been in Indy.
Sirianni has played a key part in that. Sirianni started his NFL career with the Chiefs back in He served as coach of offensive quality control, quarterbacks assistant and wide receivers during his four seasons there. That got him on track to quickly get plenty of game-planning and player-motivating experience. Sirianni also held all three roles for the Chargers, too, from
